Nigeria’s President

The reason why many Nigerian youths seem to be garnering a massive movement for the Presidential aspirant Peter Obi is not that they are guaranteed that he’ll be the “savior”, but because youths are tired of recycling the same old self-conceited egocentric politicians as leaders.

They want something new, something different, something original! And they don’t care who he is or where he’s from!

And my prayer is that their votes will count this time around!

Over the years, I’ve always been a backbencher in matters associated with politics, but when you hear prospective leaders of your country using sentences like “it is my turn to rule”, you just become provoked and triggered to speak up!

Perhaps in the minds of these leaders, they see the country as a business venture that family members take turns to run. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Nigeria is not a monarchy that operates on a turn-by-turn basis.

“I put the outgoing President in that position, therefore, after him, it is my turn to rule…” (A sentence made by one of the Presidential aspirants). What audacity!

We don’t roll like that here! We reject that type of leadership system!

Nigerians are tired of being ruled by the oligarchs and the fat-cats who want nothing but more to their pockets and status! This time around, Nigerians make a case for a complete REJECTION of the two popular parties, and demand absolute change!

You can’t believe that the same unrepentant destroyer will fix what he destroyed!

This is the reason why many Nigerians are reeling toward an ostensibly different leadership which some have criticized to be from an “unpopular” party.

Listen, Nigeria should not be run based on party or popularity, and that is why this time around we don’t care about the party’s popularity!

We’re voting a person and not a party!

We are going for what we believe has the potential to engender the real CHANGE that we all seek!

This time around, It is not business as usual! It is YOUTH 0’ clock!

And even if our choice fails us, at least history will have it that Nigerians chose their leader!

We’re not just leaders of tomorrow, our leadership starts TODAY!
